Geek Week
I may be moving from self-identification as soft geek to the full monty. This week, I installed my second simple machines forum and created a new IRC channel for Z Budapest's Dianic University. I'm too geeky for my shirt!
Along the way, I discovered or revisited some soft- and hard-geek spaces, and thought I'd share:
BlogFlux -- for checking a web page's PageRank, or for installing code to have the current Google PageRank displayed on a web page.
Web Accessibility Toolbar -- a toolbar that helps you examine web pages for a variety of aspects of accessibility; good for Windows machines running Internet Explorer 5+ with Javascript enabled
Entheos Fireworks Tutorials -- feathering, paste-inside, image fading, rollover images, and so much more; easy-to-follow guide
Technorati Tags -- keywords or categories used to describe the subject matter or topic of a blog post
An Introduction to Technorati Tags at A Consuming Experience -- because Technorati didn't give me enough info about tags, and A Consuming Experience does a great job of it
