What is Armchair Activism? It is activism that one can do while sitting at home, using the telephone, the fax machine, the typewriter, the pen, or the computer to let elected officials, department heads, and executives of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations know your position on issues. Conservatives in this country have a large and highly organized collection of individuals who practice Armchair Activism. It is important that the rest of us come to voice in this way. Which is most effective--Letter, Fax, Phone or Email?

I have been an armchair activist for several years, starting in earnest through Working Assets Act for Change programs (http://www.workingforchange.com/activism/index.cfm).. When G. Dubya Bush was selected President, I responded by increasing my armchair activist activities. Here is some of what I've done in 2001:
