Cycle III Activities Assess your general fitness and set goals to deal with whatever you feel is less than optimal. Assist other Cella members with their physical awareness. Assess My General Fitness Refer to my Body and Health report for relevant information. (Synopsis: I developed fibromyalgia and other related problems early in Cycle III and spend a great deal of time working to reverse my disability, to maintain current levels of fitness, and to improve my mobility and general health.) Set Goals to Deal with Less-than-Optimal Fitness Again, refer to my Body and Health report for relevant information. (Synopsis: I swim regularly; I am conscious of what I eat, and when; I'm improving my digestion with supplements and work with a Naturopath; I limit the duration of time sitting at my computer, since staying in any one position for very long is a great debilitator of my ability to move and stay fit.) Assist Other Cella Members with their Physical Awareness I am in a long-term peer counseling with another Cella student who has problems similar to mine. My regular swimming inspired her to start her own regular swimming exercise, and we educate and support each other around nutrition issues that affect our fitness. I have also counseled/cautioned non-disabled Cella students about the debilitating effects of stress and taking on too many responsibilities. |
