Cycle III Activities Speak regularly in public to represent the Craft. Assist those in other Cycles with public speaking.

Speak Regularly in Public The next three pages have the texts of three public talks I gave (the last one was brief, the other two about 10-15 minutes).

Other instances of Public Speaking (incomplete list):

  • August 2002, Matricentric Culture Intensive -- I co-created and narrated a 20 minute dramatization of a new myth of the Children of Danu, Clan of the River Bank
  • June 2002, Womonsong Concert -- (1) I introduced the concert; (2) I introduced the song, Vine and Fig Tree.
  • 2001 Cella Weekend (Topic: Goddesses) "Sequana" -- "That was inspired." ~A Cella Sister
  • Storytelling Seminar (UW Extension) -- Told three stories to my group during the course of the two-day intensive.
  • Late 1990s, May Priestess Gathering -- I made a speech at two different meals to further a fundraising cause initiated by Karen, a Madison Cella sister.
  • Fall 1995, I led the Saturday night ritual at RCGI's Hallows Gathering and was the Emcee for the festivities afterwards (where I shared a number of seasonal jokes I made up -- it was 'boo'tiful).
  • May 1995, Priestess Gathering I made three speeches about the raffle, a fun(d)raising activity I introduced to RCG-I's gatherings and which brings about $1,500 per year into the Congregation.

The above exceed the 9-speech requirement for Cycle III.

Assist Those in Other Cycles with Public Speaking I taught a class on Storytelling as Public Speaking at the 2001 RCGI Hallows Gathering; several Cella students attended. I have also helped others, individually, with their Public Speaking and other Communications (replacing Public Speaking) activities.
